The Service Project is an integral part of The Service Connection. To read more about this facet of our program, review the Transformative Philanthropy page, where you will also find an overview of our nomination & selection process.
As each woman moves through the 4 nested cycles of The Service Connection, she will have an opportunity to reflect on & participate in service in different ways. In the Initiate cycle, this reflection will be mostly inward, though nominations will be accepted during any program cycle. In the Mentor & Light Partner cycles, each woman will participate in a learning triad that is responsible for nominating & selecting up to 3 projects/organizations to fund. In the final Guiding Light cycle, each woman will have an opportunity to guide the giving to these projects in a celebratory way.
Our over-riding intent for The Service Connection is to generate creative responses to issues that we, as leaders, see need attention beyond our immediate experience. Because there are many worthwhile causes and organizations that support them, we offer a guiding set of selection criteria to help the identification and focusing of potential recipients.
